Storytowns tours are the product of a team of travel-loving adventurers, who love to get off the beaten track, meet the locals and throw themselves into new experiences.

Hosted online via smartphone app, Storytowns showcases local stories for travelling tourists in an interactive, geo-located podcast tour.

Travellers have the option of a history tour in Loxton, an arts tour in Waikerie, or a driving tour between the two Riverland towns.

Loxton History Tour

Our new Loxton podcast takes you on a journey like no other. Discover the Loxton Historical Village Tour and Waikerie Street Art Trail with immersive self driving podcast tours.

Featuring over twenty key landmarks, travellers can tour and connect with this fascinating part of the Riverland by tuning in to the locals telling their stories, in real time, straight from the heart.

Step back in time and visit the Loxton Historical village and imagine everyday life as ex servicemen in the iconic Nissen Huts. ”It was hard but back in those days we never thought anything of it” Barrie Muller, whose family lived in a Nissen Hut in 1952.

Strap yourself in for an incredible story from Loxton back in September 1943 during a WW2 navigational training flight and marvel at the replica Avro Anson sculpture meticulously crafted by locals Josh and Abe McIntosh.
