Port Noarlunga Reef Sanctuary Zone – Encounter Marine Park

National Parks and Reserves

Port Noarlunga Reef Sanctuary Zone is one of the most popular snorkelling spots not only within Encounter Marine Park but within the state.

It is SA’s ‘Great Southern Reef’ with a large range of plants, fish and invertebrates.

Twelve bollards have been submerged along the reef to enable divers to enjoy an underwater tour of the area, with plaques offering information on the region and animals. Stretching from the base of the Fleurieu Peninsula to the north-eastern coast of Kangaroo Island and the Coorong, Encounter Marine Park provides plenty of opportunities to enjoy the diverse marine life, including some of the state’s best dive spots.
