National Railway Museum Port Adelaide

Galleries, Museums and Collections

The National Railway Museum at Port Adelaide has almost 100 exhibits within two huge pavilions and an 1870s heritage listed goods shed, and covers operations from State, Commonwealth and private operators on the three major railway gauges used throughout Australia. It’s a great place for young families and for the serious researcher, with a theatrette, display galleries, professional model railway, miniature train, and train simulator in the main pavilion, plus an archive that is open by appointment.

The Shop has a wide range of books, souvenirs, and DVDs for sale.

Open every day except Christmas Day, and from 12pm on ANZAC Day.
