Hope Valley Reservoir Reserve

National Parks and Reserves

Enjoy, explore, preserve Hope Valley Reservoir Reserve
Adelaide’s oldest and smallest active reservoir is the centrepiece to Hope Valley Reservoir Reserve – the state’s first metropolitan reservoir reserve to open for public access.

The reserve links into the O-Bahn Bikeway, and its 4.6km trail network, in combination with tree-lined footpaths, provides for an easy walking and cycling experience around the reservoir.
Much of the trails boast panoramic views across the water and to the hills, including the 800m dam wall which you can walk across. The trail here is ideal for walking and running, with room for families to enjoy a picnic along the way.

Free car parking and toilet facilities are also available.

Open 7.30am – 5pm (standard time), 7.30am – 8pm (daylight saving time).
Closed on Total Fire Ban Days and for operational activity (gates will be closed).

To prepare for your visit, please check the conditions of access.
