Community Concert – Pared to Two with Celia Craig and Thomas Marlin

Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of live music; Celia Craig and Thomas Marlin from Chamber Music Adelaide present ‘Pared to Two’.

In an intimate dialogue between oboe and cello, ‘Pared to Two’ explores transformation through sound, from the smoky nostalgia of Piazzolla’s Café 1930 to the mythic world of Britten’s Pan, inspired by Ovid’s tales of metamorphosis.

The program features the world premiere of Sally Whitwell’s Miniature, a new work that distils musical ideas into their purest essence, and finishes with excerpts from Vivaldi’s Sonata in C minor RV53.

Set in the elegant Burnside Ballroom, ‘Pared to Two’ offers the perfect opportunity to relax, connect with your community, and experience high-quality live music in an intimate setting. Complimentary light refreshments will be provided.
