1837 Barossa Pavilion – Cellar Door and Cafe

Restaurant and Cafe

Come and visit the brand new 1837 Barossa Cellar Door with Cafe, with its fresh and vibrant architecture. Take a seat on the Roman terrace framed by the gods of wine carved in Italian marble overlooking the rolling hills with vineyards, and indulge yourself in the spectacular vista.

Enjoy award-winning wines in a beautifully crafted tasting paddle and elegant glassware. Combine it with a picnic basket, which you can fill with your local favourite fine foods from their deli, or combine it with a pizza or platter from their cafe-style menu. Walk-ins are welcome.

1837 Barossa is the first winery to visit before you start your wine tasting trip in the Barossa. You can pre-book 2- or 4-hour wine experiences. Learn about the history and naming of the Barossa, and discover wine-making and taste wine like a professional.

The 1837 Barossa winery commemorates the date on which Colonel William Light named the Barossa in December 1837 on the estate. The Barossa Colonel Light Monument, a life-size bronze monument of Colonel Light on horseback commemorates the birthplace of Barossa on the estate.

The 1837 Barossa Pavilion is part of the 1837 Barossa estate. The spectacular estate offers:
