Chateau Yaldara

Wineries

Hermann Thumm, a European Immigrant, coming to Australia as a POW, survived WWII and chose to call the Barossa home. Hermann settled on the banks of the North Para River, where an abandoned Flax mill stood, converting the mill into a winery, and the birthplace of Yaldara estate in 1947.

Chateau Yaldara has grown for over 75 years, with it’s impressive architecture drawing you in to see what this winery is all about. Once inside, you will be immersed in the history of this estate, feeling as though you have stepped back in time.

Their wines match the scenery perfectly, with estate-grown wines from a multi-generational Barossan winemaker at the helm.

Chateau Yaldara is all about relaxing and enjoying what the Barossa is all about, incredible wines and a one-of-a-kind experience.

Bookings recommended.
