On a rise overlooking the bay of Port Alfred and with the sweep of Black Point in the distance, Pine Point was once one of the busiest ports on Yorke Peninsula. Today, it is well-known as an excellent wading area to rake the shallows for blue swimmer crabs and a popular spot for fishing and boating.
