High on Mount George, where river meets ocean and sky stretches endlessly, The George Tasmania offers a stay defined by stillness, light, and extraordinary sweeping 270° views across the Tamar River, Bass Strait, and Tasmania’s coastline.
The architectural eco-luxe pods are open year-round — crafted for privacy, comfort, and reconnection. Mornings linger, sunsets soften, and time feels beautifully unhurried. Each pod features a private viewing deck, immersive vistas, and interiors layered with warm Tasmanian materials and refined modern ease.
Four pods are currently available:
Eco Pod 1: stylish ambulant/accessible design
Eco Pod 2: pet-friendly
Eco Pods 3 & 4: elevated privacy with jaw-dropping river and ocean outlooks
Inside, a Tasmanian Oak king bed wrapped in organic linen, a skylit bathroom with walk-in shower, and a thoughtfully appointed kitchenette create a stay that feels quietly indulgent. Complimentary welcome provisions await on arrival, alongside Starlink Wi-Fi, onsite parking, Smart TV and climate control.
Wander the landscaped grounds, gather by the firepit under open skies, or roll straight onto MTB trails just metres away.
Available for group and small events with exclusive use of the pods and grounds.
The onsite café bar is open weekends & Tasmanian holidays (10am–3pm). Closed through winter.
