Castaway Holiday Apartments offer two-bedroom self-contained apartments with a spacious living area. One apartment is suitable for guests with disabilities (with assistance). Our apartments are suitable for up to 4 guests, for weekend getaways, or leisurely holidays with family or friends, and are a perfect base to come back to after a day out exploring, or a space to take time out to relax and unwind.
Unlimited internet access is available in all rooms, and there’s a complimentary DVD Library for your use during your stay. Our Guest Laundry has front loader washing machine (detergent supplied) and separate dryer all for a minimal charge.
If dining in is an option for you, Patrick’s IGA is just 150m from our doorstep to purchase supplies to prepare meals in your fully equipped kitchen. To complement your meal, we have available bottles of some of our favourite Tasmanian wines, ciders, or craft beers which you can purchase from Reception. We also have a Guest Barbecue Area to enjoy your meal outdoors on a beautiful day.
A short 5-minute stroll will take you to the town centre where you will find the Information Centre, wharf, cruise boat terminals, restaurants and cafes.
We suggest a minimum stay of three nights to allow you time to experience Strahan’s attractions and to explore more of what the West Coast has to offer.

Our self-contained apartments are ideal for up to four guests. There are two bedrooms – main with a queen bed and the other with two singles, all fitted with electric blankets for your comfort in the cooler months. If travelling with small children, we can offer you a high-chair and port-a-cot (subject to availability). Our well-equipped kitchen includes a full-size cooker and fridge freezer – perfect for those who wish to dine in. Relax in your own spacious, well-furnished living area, featuring a 32” TV and DVD player, with an assortment of DVD’s available from Reception.
