“tunapri” means “to understand” in Palawa kani, the language of the Palawa, the Tasmanian Aboriginal people. The core purpose of this business is to provide a bridge of understanding, allowing people from all walks of life to walk in the footsteps of the Palawa, and see milaythina (Country) through their eyes.

The business provides On-country Palawa Cultural Experiences, project consultation and Welcome Ceremony Services to wider public and schools.

Topics included through Palawa Guided Experiences and consultation include Palawa History, Cultural Practice, Seasonal Resource Usage and Language.

tunapri Patuyala, translated to “To understand Boat Harbour”, is a 1.5hr cultural walk on-country, where we highlight the natural and cultural wonders of the northwest coast of Lutruwita, as well as allow all participants to get hands-on with a cultural craft activity. 

Walk in the footsteps of the Old People and discover the wonders of Palawa (Tasmanian Aboriginal) cultural heritage.
