Bruny Island Safaris is proud to be the only Tour Operator with access to guided tours inside Cape Bruny Lighthouse, Australia’s most southern Lighthouse, open for tours. These guided tours inside the Lighthouse provide guests with insight into the rich maritime history of Bruny Island, not available through other tour operators.

They have a fleet of new Toyota Coasters and an 11-seat HiAce for smaller groups, with a full capacity of over 100 passengers. They intentionally limit bus sizes to 20 passengers or fewer to ensure a more personal tour experience.

A fully guided and interpreted lighthouse tour of the Cape Bruny Lighthouse. Climb the original wrought iron spiral staircase to the tower balcony and take in the sweeping southern views to the wild Tasman Sea, South East Cape, Whale Head and the small islands dotting the coastline.
Experience the vastness and wonderful photo opportunities at every point of the compass with albatross, gannets and many other pelagic seabirds gliding over the relentless ocean swells. Observe migrating whales, short tailed shearwaters and wedge tailed eagles swooping close to the tower.
The tour commences at the tower where you will meet your guide. This tour is not suitable for children under 5 years.

Join the very special Sunset Lighthouse Tour for small groups only on Friday and Saturday evenings or other nights on request. “Self-drive” into the South Bruny National Park and arrive at the Cape Bruny Lightstation for a stunning evening overlooking the wild, rugged rock cliffs and Cape Bruny National Park.
*This tour is a self-drive to the lighthouse. Please meet your guide at the lighthouse door.
*Please arrive at the carpark at least 15 minutes prior to your tour time.
*Due to safety regulations children under 5 years old cannot climb the lighthouse stairs.

There is also a visit to the famous Bruny Island Baker’s Bread Fridges for freshly baked goods, and free time in Lunawanna to purchase lunch at a local café.
With all transport, ferry fares, and expert guiding taken care of, you can simply relax and enjoy Bruny Island at your own pace.
