Based near Hobart, Luke provides an adaptive approach where locations are chosen based on deep understanding of weather patterns, tides, and optimal timing for Milky Way or aurora forecasts. This ensures participants are in the right place at the right time to capture remarkable images.

Formats include multi-day adaptive journeys, private sessions, local photowalks and online training. Small group sizes enable personalised instruction. Participants develop crucial planning skills to confidently create their own photographic adventures, covering grand landscapes to specialised techniques like infrared photography and UV biofluorescence.

As an award-winning photographer and Sony Digital Imaging Advocate, Luke provides expert guidance and access to professional loan equipment.

All activities adhere to Nature First and Leave No Trace principles, fostering deeper respect for the environment being captured. Complete support includes pre-workshop preparation and post-workshop assistance to ensure learning continues long after participants return home.

The Bruny Island Landscape and Astrophotography Workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore and photograph the stunning natural beauty of Bruny Island, Tasmania. Led by award-winning photographer Luke Tscharke, this workshop combines daytime landscape photography with night-time astrophotography sessions.

Participants will capture breathtaking beaches, rugged coastlines, and lush forests by day, and the stars, Milky Way, and potentially the aurora australis by night. With personalised instruction, flexible itineraries, and access to professional loan equipment, this workshop caters to all skill levels. Experience the magic of Southern Tasmania from noon to night with our comprehensive landscape photography workshop. This full-day session focuses on long exposure techniques, sunset photography, and nightscapes. If conditions are favourable, you might even have the chance to chase the aurora!

Where we go is up to you, from exploring the diverse landscapes of the Southwest and Central Highlands to the slopes of kunanyi/Mount Wellington. Luke will help guide you in creating a custom itinerary that will make the most of the conditions on offer across Southern Tasmania.
