The Art of Richard Stanley, Studio and Gallery is located in Cygnet, Southern Tasmania.

The Art Gallery resides in one of the first general stores in Cygnet, circa. 1905. A vast open space with high ceilings gives room for large canvases and drawings, artworks and glass jewellery.

Meet Richard Stanley, the resident artist and talk about his work. Listen to ambient music as you peruse his original landscape paintings, limited edition prints, open prints and art greeting cards. The gallery is located in a beautiful rural setting with mountain and river views.

All work is created by Richard, the resident artist, on the premises. Artworks are based on landscapes in Tasmania with emphasis on the South.

Richard makes his own stretched canvases so can make any size to suit the customer’s needs. Richard is a prolific producer of commissioned work. ie he can paint favourite personalised photos or can source photos himself of chosen subhects.

Stanley’s Studio/Gallery is on the main road on the left, as you come into Cygnet from Huonville. Cygnet is a 49-minute drive (55 kilometres) south of Hobart.
