Fleurty’s Oyster Tours

Cruises, Sailing and Water Tours

Fleurty’s Oyster Tours invites visitors to explore the D’entrecasteaux channel near Bruny island through a unique hands-on oyster-farming adventure.

Participants board the TunaCorn vessel for a short cruise past coastal scenery and wildlife. Guests wade into clear channel waters to harvest oysters, then learn to shuck and savour freshly gathered oysters paired with local Tasmanian wine or beer.

The experience is led by a passionate, family-owned operator who shares knowledge of sustainable oyster farming and the region’s marine environment.

Fleurty’s oyster tours stand out for the fresh sea-to-table harvesting, personal and intimate group sizes, immersive farm-based storytelling, and scenic settings that connect visitors directly with Tasmania’s coastal character.

Jump on the private bus from Hobart city and be driven to a secluded jetty 30 mins south of Hobart. Set sail cruising south for 7 km across the pristine D’Entrecasteaux Channel. Nestled between Bruny Island and Tasmania’s mainland lies Fleurty’s Point Marine Farm—your destination.

Once moored, you’ll slip on waders and step into clear, cool water to harvest oysters by hand. Learn how these bivalves are farmed, then head back aboard for the shucking lesson. Savour your fresh oysters paired with a glass of local wine with views of the vineyard above.

Your host, an oyster farmer and seasoned seafarer, will share stories of Tasmania’s sustainable oyster industry and hard‑won craftsmanship behind every shell.
