Blue Derby Pods Ride is a multi-day, luxury adventure mountain bike experience based from unique accommodation in Derby, Tasmania.
Nestled in the heart of Australia’s Iconic Blue Derby Mountain Bike Trails network, guests of the experience stay in unique, architecturally-designed, individual Pods that ‘float’ in the stunning Tasmanian forest and our central dining hub building.
After a day of exploring the trails, guests unwind in a central hub building that peeks through Tasmanian Blackwood trees and down to the Cascade River Valley below.

Over four days, you will ride through both the stunning Blue Derby Mountain Bike Trails network, and iconic Bay of Fires trail part of the St Helens Mountain Bike Trails network, stay in our unique accommodation and indulge in Tasmanian food and wine. Your experience leaders will guide you to the places less ridden, opening up your senses to the beauty of North East Tasmania, including the world-acclaimed Bay of Fires beaches.
What makes our 4-Day Experience unique? On day 3 of your 4-Day Experience you will ride the 42km Bay of Fires trail down to a chef prepared, private gourmet Tasmanian seafood lunch on the sensational East Coast of Tasmania.

In winter, Derby dials everything up. The definition of ‘green’ gets re-defined by our forest, the sparkle in our night’s sky captivates your imagination and the trails, let’s not forget how well they ride through winter. Our Winter Experience is based around the structure of our Iconic 3-Day Experience, but we re-jig our itinerary and activities to work to the natural strengths of this time of year. If you haven’t tried riding in Derby’s winter yet, it’s time you did.
What makes our Winter Experience unique? A unique riding itinerary and a bespoke winter menu, including a lake-side campfire pre-dinner canapés setting and star watching session.
