Tasmania’s Hidden Experiences shows the pure essence of Tasmania’s art and antique collections and private gardens set in a landscape with the resplendent Western Tiers backdrop. These tours are both scheduled and organised to suit the voyage of the visitor in a personalised way.

Visit wonderful artists’ properties and their private gardens. Groups will have an introduction to the owners the creators of these magnificent collections and gardens is part of the experience. Garden seasonality comes to the fore with heritage and designed gardens dotted throughout the countryside – a journey of adventure and exploration.

The horticultural experience in Tasmania with Northern Tasmania properties as part of the journey.

Tasmanian food and gourmet lunches are packaged into the day and served with flair and in magic settings that capture the beauty of an unsurpassed landscape.

The service is provided in comfortable vehicles and Jacks Buses coaches according to the number of bookings per pax. tour. Tours are personalised and unique not something generally available.

This exclusive tour is provided to explore the beautiful public and private gardens and country houses. The day will include visits to three properties in the Northern Midlands region and travel along Tasmania’s historical Heritage Highway. The Northern Midlands is a significant place and much painted by famous artists Tom Roberts and David Chapman – a stunning landscape with Western Tiers backdrop.

You will hear the stories of the families of the region and meet some of the owners who will take you around their garden Estates. Included in this tour is a gourmet lunch, morning or afternoon tea and entry to three (3) private gardens.

This tour operates with a maximum of twelve people. It is not available all year round and must be booked to align with the seasons

The Meander Valley of Tasmania located near Launceston is a unique cultural place with attributes like no other. The backdrop of the magnificent Central plateau – the Western Tiers frames the view as a strong natural, physical element rising up out of a rich hidden valley. It is the land of milk and honey, raspberries, wasabi and other fine foods.

This exclusive tour of the Meander Valley will explore the private and public places that are significant to this beautiful fertile valley. You will travel along the Meander Valley Touring route and visit places rich in cultural heritage. Stories will be conveyed by personal guides and there is the opportunity to meet private owners – you will not be disappointed.

The Meander Valley has a reoccurring theme of hawthorn hedges and behind these hedges lay some magnificent gardens and country houses not available to the general public. It is also becoming a significant area to the production of gourmet foods, wasabi, honey, salmon and cheeses. Your exclusive day tour will take in the arts, the gardens, the food and natural and cultural heritage attributes.

Indulge you interest in art and visit Carlton Cox’s exhibtion. Carlton is celebrating “A Thirty Year Journey” of printmaking as a linocut Tasmanian artist with an exhibition at Blenheim Gallery. Carlton brings into the show not only Longford and Tasmanian locations imagery, but also as he travels further afield he is inspired by Brisbane, Bryon Bay and Sydney locations. This show is a must see and illustrates his skill as a significant printmaker in Tasmania.
