Pass the original heavy doors with their looking holes — once used by residents to peer out and nurses to watch in — stark reminders of the building’s institutional past. Begin with a welcome drink and seasonal nibbles inside the Cottage. Then, guided by the expert storyteller, cross the grounds of Willow Court to the original Morgue for a raw and deeply respectful encounter with the site’s past.

The journey continues to the former Willow Court Industrial Therapy Building, now home to the award-winning New Norfolk Distillery.
