Evandale Visitor Information & History Centre

Visitor Information Centres

At the Evandale Visitor Information Centre, our friendly team of local volunteers will help you plan your activities when you visit Tasmania’s Northern Midlands, and they can point you in the right direction for your travels beyond the midlands too.

In our bright, spacious centre, we have a history centre, museum/history displays, gifts and souvenirs, an art exhibition, and friendly, local volunteers to assist you.

We have plenty of brochures and information, and internet access and a computer for use too.

We also have a community library, and a variety of community activities.

We are located in the historic town of Evandale and we love to share our history.

Turn left when you leave the airport and you’ll find us five minutes up the road.

We are open 10 am – 4 pm daily.

Evandale is a wonderful colonial village, our main streetscape is like stepping back in time! We have great places to eat, shop, take a stroll. Evandale hosts fabulous events such as:
National Penny Farthing Championships in February.
Glover Prize in March.
Verandah Music Festival in November.

There is also free overnight camping at Evandale.

There’s always a reason to visit Evandale!
