Longford Velodrome, known as the Kearney Cycling Centre, is a state of the art cycling track available for public use.

Bookings can be made by contacting the Northern Midlands Council. Note: venue is not available for public use if an event has been booked.

The velodrome is also home to the Longford Skate Park.

There are public toilets at the venue.

The Kearney Cycling Centre is named in memory of Graham Kearney, a lifetime resident of Longford and talented cyclist, regularly competing in the prestigious Tasmanian Christmas Carnival Series in the 60s and 70s. His numerous wins on the track resulted in Graham being bestowed the title “Mr Carnival”. The pinnacle of his career was being selected for the 1968 Mexico City Olympic Games. Graham was an active member of the Northern Veteran’s Cycling Club and continued to race with the club until his passing in 2013. Graham is remembered as a person who passionately loved cycling and inspired others to do their best.

Adjacent to the Velodrome are Stokes Park, Cairns Park, a boat ramp, and close by is an off-leash dog park, and a walking trail to the Mill Dam.
