Nestled amongst the coastal dunes and just metres from the spectacular Bass Strait Surf Coast, The Barwon Heads Golf Club is one of the region’s most prestigious golfing and accommodation venues and is one of Australia’s premier golf experiences.
The iconic Clubhouse, listed by Heritage Victoria a is famed for its ambience and old-world charm. In late 2025 it reopened after a significant renovation and restoration.
The accommodation inside the Clubhouse is particularly popular with small groups who return to play golf year-after-year. These golfers comment on the level of accomplished service they receive in the Clubhouse and the ambience of the surrounds.
Other facilities include tennis courts, a driving range, a short-game practice facility, a par three course, an undercover coaching area and a professional shop.

These rooms are at the front of the clubhouse near a small shared balcony. On a clear day views can be had of the first six holes of the golf course, the Heads and over the water towards Point Lonsdale lighthouse and all the way to Mount Martha. The rooms do not necessarily have direct access to the shared balcony.

As a result, some, but not all, have views of the course and a few have ocean glimpses. There are several standard rooms however, that only have internal views.
Reservations will always try to accommodate guests in the rooms with views but when the house is full this is not possible. There is one standard room with bathroom facilities suitable for guests in a wheelchair.
