Tawonga Gap lookout

Natural Attractions

The Tawonga Gap lookout is a must do and is located half way along the Tawonga Gap Road, which adjoins the Kiewa and Ovens valleys. The lookout, at 750 metres high, is a popular picnic spot with ample room for tourist coaches and caravans.

It overlooks the beautiful Kiewa Valley and the Kiewa River with majestic Mount Bogong, Victoria’s highest peak at 1986 metres, in the distance. Across the valley is Mount Emu (1361 metres) which is used for hang gliders and paragliders (look for the notch in the trees for the launch ramp).
