Brisbane Ranges National Park

National Parks and Reserves

Little more than an hour’s drive from Melbourne takes you to the state’s richest wildflower habitat. Set in a low range of mountains dissected by rocky gullies, the unusual geology of the Brisbane Ranges National Park has preserved plants that have long since vanished from other parts of the region.

There are a number of options for bushwalking ranging from short walks to three-day walks. This park is also popular for picnicking, scenic drives, bird watching and camping. Use the Parks Victoria website to book a campsite.

Brisbane Ranges National Park is part of the Aboriginal cultural landscape and is the traditional lands of the Wadawurrung People.

Conditions can change in parks for many reasons. For the latest information on changes to local conditions, please visit the relevant park page on the Parks Victoria website. Remember to stay bushfire ready using the VicEmergency App or Emergency Victoria’s website while in nature.
