Specializing in bespoke, site-specific works that blend craftsmanship with community spirit, the Agency of Sculpture team has created a space that feels uniquely Beechworth.

Located at the historic trailhead of the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail, a stone’s throw from Beechworth’s vibrant town centre and Lake Sambell, the playground serves as the perfect jumping-off point for families exploring the High Country.

The playground moves away from the ordinary, featuring custom-built equipment and interactive art that honours the local landscape. Discover the quirky local legend of the Rock-Eating Rabbits, brought to life through whimsical sculptures that spark storytelling and curiosity. Kids can soar through the air on the flying fox or navigate the diverse nature play zones designed for climbing and balance.

Imagination Playground is a part of the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail Enhancements Project, a project introducing a series of must-see moments designed to make the trail more engaging, accessible and shareable than ever before. The public art installations are part of a curated journey featuring world-class installations that celebrate local stories interpreted by Victorian artists.
