Braeside Park

National Parks and Reserves

Braeside Park is an oasis of parkland nestled amongst golf courses, urban development and busy roads. As you stroll through the park’s Red Gum grassy woodlands, heathland and around the wetlands, it’s easy to forget you’re surrounded by the suburbs.

Children love exploring the large adventure playground, while their parents appreciate the parks many shady spots and the peacefulness of a playground surrounded by nature. The park has picnic areas with free electric barbeques for social gatherings, a community garden and easy walking and cycling trails.

Braeside Park is open from sunrise to sunset. One-way spikes at the Lower Dandenong Road exit allow you to enjoy the park and leave at your leisure.

Braeside Park is part of an Aboriginal cultural landscape in the traditional Country of the Bunurong People.

Conditions can change in parks for many reasons. For the latest information on changes to local conditions, please visit the relevant park page on the Parks Victoria website. Remember to stay bushfire ready using Emergency Victoria’s website while in nature.
