The Cyclist – an original comedy by Phil Gray

The Cyclist is a funny, touching and eye‑opening story inspired by local teacher Phil Gray’s real‑life experience recovering from a life‑changing road crash four years ago. After months in hospitals and rehabilitation, Gray found himself surrounded by unforgettable characters, unexpected humour and moments of deep reflection. Those experiences now form the heart of this fictionalised stage work.

This play celebrates resilience and the strange, wonderful people you meet when life takes an unexpected turn.

Directed by David McKenzie and starring Phil Gray, Kat Bryan, Brian Short, Clem Wetherall, Will Chapman, Natasha Nagle, Pauline Van Dijk, Sally Cox and Zara Higgins.
