Archibald Prize 2025
Events Geelong, Greater Geelong, Victoria
5 Sep 2025 to 9 Nov 2025 Daily Event
The annual Archibald Prize is eagerly anticipated by artists and audiences alike. Judged by the trustees of the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the prize is awarded to the best portrait painting. Since 1921, it has highlighted figures from all walks of life, from famous faces to local heroes, reflecting back to us the stories of our times.
This touring exhibition is an opportunity to see the finalists in the Archibald Prize 2025, including the winning work by Julie Fragar, ‘Flagship Mother Multiverse (Justene)’, and Packing Room Prize winner Abdul Abdullah’s ‘No mountain high enough’. Visit the Carousel at Geelong waterfront and step into the frame of Sid Pattni’s Archibald Prize finalist work, which you can visit until 13 October.
Be sure to visit the works and identities in this year’s Archibald Prize 2025.
