Sporting Events

14 Nov 2025 to 18 Nov 2025 Once Only Event

A 5-day regenerative journey with Dhungala / Murray River and artist in residence, Andrea Shaw.

This journey is a deliberate reconnection with nature and the place of humans within its living systems. As paddles cut through the water tracing the river’s ancient path, participants shed the illusion of separation and recognise themselves as part of the interconnectedness of all living things. Through deep listening and careful observation, they attune to the subtle languages of water, wind, and wildlife, allowing the shifting patterns of light, sound, and movement to inspire creative response, in a myriad of ways. The act of paddling becomes an embodied practice of presence, fostering individual reflection deepening connection to place and each other.

Nights under open skies offer space for quiet communion with the environment, where the boundary between self and landscape blurs amid the sounds of rustling leaves, bird calls, and flowing water. Each moment invites stepping beyond human-centric views to acknowledge the intricate web of life that surrounds and sustains us. More than a journey across kilometres, this experience invites participants to deepen their connection with the natural world, themselves, and each other through observation, listening, and creative response.
