Castlemaine Documentary Festival

Festivals and Celebrations

26 Jun 2026 to 28 Jun 2026 Annual Event

The Castlemaine Documentary Festival returns this winter in June.

This year, the Castlemaine Documentary Festival turns toward what binds people. Love – the Antidote is the guiding theme for the 2026 edition, and a declaration that what is required of everyone now, is a return to shared humanity.

Across three days and nights, the festival will present documentaries that value connection and curiosity above certainty and division. Stories that celebrate community, courage and care. Stories that let in the light.

A Festival Pass gives you access to 10 sessions across the weekend, including live music, hosted conversations and immersive documentary experiences, all woven through this year’s theme.

Early Bird ticket sales are now open for their Full Festival Passes. Full program goes live mid May.
