Mrs Baker’s Still House

Breweries and Distilleries

Nestled in the Pyrenees Ranges about an hour out of Ballarat you’ll find the tiny hamlet of Glenpatrick. Little more than 30 people live in this pristine valley, where grazing land joins rugged forest. This is the home of Mrs Baker’s Still House, a female lead micro-distillery making award winning gins and liqueurs.

The sheltered valley in the hills is the perfect environment for Jane Baker, founder of Mrs Baker’s Still House, to grow many of the botanicals used in the gins and liqueurs. Other botanicals, that aren’t grown on the property, are foraged from the hills or picked from local farms.

Jane and team are passionate about harnessing flavours of the place where they live. This stems from the adoration of the stunning landscape surrounding them and commitment to sustainable, low-impact production methods.

In keeping with this ethos, food miles remain low, with the base neutral spirit distilled from wine made and grown on the farm, and a 100 per cent solar-powered distillation process.

If you’d like to visit at other times, give the team a call to check that someone will be able to welcome you.
