Messmates Dining, awarded 2025 Regional Restaurant of the Year by The Age Good Food Guide, is a family affair helmed by brother and sister duo Chris and Jodie Odrowaz, and their partners Jess and Michael.
The team of four, connected by family and a shared love of generous hospitality, have created a place to eat and drink with your mates.
The menu brings the best of European cuisine to life, with the finest produce Gippsland has to offer.
Inspired by all things local, including their parent’s garden where much of the produce is grown for the restaurant, the food is classical in technique with a contemporary approach. The cooking is seasonal and stripped back, highlighting dishes with few ingredients to allow the produce to speak for itself.
Showcasing a wine focused beverage list, Messmates heroes local makers and cult imported producers, alongside rotating tap beers, cocktails and digestifs.
