Since opening in 2017, James and Co. has been quietly doing things differently, crafting handmade, small-batch wines with a strong focus on European varieties and a love for wines made to be enjoyed with food and friends.
They don’t own a vineyard, but they don’t need to. They source premium fruit from nearby Alpine Valleys and Beechworth and make the wines themselves. At the heart of it all is winemaker Ricky James, often found in cellar door and always happy to chat. Sangiovese is the star here, explored through four distinctive table wine styles, alongside a thoughtfully curated range including Pinot Grigio, Tempranillo and Nero d’Avola.
Drop in for a relaxed tasting, settle into the contemporary cellar door, or wander out to the hidden wine garden out back, perfect for lingering with a glass in hand.
