Just an hour from Melbourne’s city centre, Rayner’s Orchard sits in the heart of the Yarra Valley food bowl. The 40-acre working farm grows over 450 fruit varieties, making it one of Australia’s most diverse orchards. With 8 to 12 fruits ripe every day, there is always something fresh to taste and pick.
Join an Orchard Adventure tractor tour and sample unlimited fruits, with at least eight fresh varieties each day. Learn how they grow and care for their crops, crack macadamias, meet their friendly farm animals and enjoy tastings of their unique jams. The orchard offers a hands-on experience for families, couples, food lovers and anyone who enjoys being outdoors. Whether you want a relaxed day out or a fun group activity, there is plenty to explore.
Check the Rayner Orchard website to find what fruits are in season to prepare yourself for the experience. Depending on the season, you can find peaches, plums, nectarines, apricots, pluots, nectaplums, cherries, donut peaches, loquats, gooseberries, blackberries, Saskatoon berries, currants, apples, pears, persimmons, figs, pomegranates, feijoas, guavas, tamarillos, Brazilian grapes, quinces, medlars, clingstone peaches, kiwis, oranges, mandarins, lemonades, finger limes, American pawpaws, cumquats and more.
Tractor tours run daily from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Blossom Tours run from mid-August to mid-September. Groups and buses are welcome, with tour and meal packages available for ten or more.
