Ragazzi Residenza in Fitzroy
Food and Drink Fitzroy, Yarra, Victoria
Acclaimed Sydney restaurant Ragazzi Wine and Pasta will head south to Melbourne for the month of April.
The Ragazzi Residenza will be led by Love Tilly Group’s Culinary Director Scott McComas-Williams, Ragazzi’s Executive Chef Alex Major, newly appointed Group General Manager, Adam Fogwell and Head of Beverage James Griffin.
The Ragazzi front-of-house team will be joined by James Tait and Luke Drum, the driving force behind Melbourne’s beloved Alta Trattoria, now closed. Having previously brought their Piedmontese concept to Ragazzi in 2023, the Melbourne-based duo are returning the favour, inviting Ragazzi to their Fitzroy venue, now used for guest chef residencies.
On the menu for the month, McComas-Williams and Major will be plating up some of Ragazzi’s classics, such as the famed Anchovy sourdough, Tuna crudo, apple, wasabi on pasta fritta, Spaghetti cacio e pepe, Ravioli of Jerusalem artichoke, Pecorino Romano, and bitter honey, Mafaldine, Spanish mackerel, fermented chilli and eschalot, and Ricotta panna cotta, green apple granita, to name a few. There will be a few dishes exclusive to Ragazzi Residenza’s Melbourne stint, too.
