Mammoth Cave offers a unique window into the past, over 10,000 fossils once accumulated inside the cave, many of these fossils were found to be remains of Australian Megafauna (giant animals) that became extinct around 46,000 years ago.
When exploring this incredible cave system, you will come face-to-face with a 50,000-year-old ”zygomaturus’ jawbone embedded in the cave wall!
A visit to Mammoth Cave finishes with a winding walk through a beautiful marri forest. The trail is lined with flourishing green foliage, towering trees and wildflowers during winter and spring. Mammoth Cave is more than a cave – it is a complete nature experience.
They welcome visitors of all abilities. Wheelchair access is available to the first chamber of the cave (approximately 30 metres) and is free of charge.
