Discover the beauty of Western Australia’s South West on a journey full of contrasts – from iconic rock formations to tall forests and coastal vineyards.
We start inland at Wave Rock, a perfectly curved granite “wave” rising 15 metres from the outback. You can walk along the crest on top of Wave Rock and explore the base of the formation, with plenty of time for photos from both angles. From here we travel to the historic coastal town of Albany, known for its dramatic cliffs, lookouts and beautiful southern beaches, with a stop at one of the spectacular coastal viewpoints.
In the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk area, you stroll high among the canopy of ancient tingle trees and experience the southern forest from above.
Further west we reach the Margaret River Region, famous for its caves, surf and wine. Explore an impressive limestone cave filled with stalactites and underground chambers, then round off the day with a relaxed wine tasting at a local winery.
On the way back to Perth, we travel through the green rolling hills of Ferguson Valley and the tall forests of Wellington National Park, the perfect way to end your South West adventure.

Enjoy a comfortable small group tour from Perth to Darwin (or vice versa), discovering impressive and sometimes hidden natural attractions, combined with cultural history and plenty of wildlife watching.
From the vibrant city of Perth, you travel north along the Coral Coast to the Ningaloo Reef, where you can explore a colourful underwater world and often see turtles, rays and other marine life close to shore. At Monkey Mia, wild dolphins regularly visit the beach, and the surrounding bays impress with turquoise water and white sandy beaches.
Further inland, Karijini National Park awaits with deep gorges, natural rock pools and waterfalls – some of the most spectacular walking and swimming spots in Australia. Continuing into the rugged Kimberley region, dramatic gorges, red rock formations and vast open spaces create a true outback feeling, with good chances to spot kangaroos, emus and a variety of birdlife.
The journey ends in tropical Darwin, gateway to the Top End, where a relaxed outdoor lifestyle, harbour views and multicultural markets provide a fitting contrast to the landscapes you have experienced on the way. This route showcases the incredible variety of Western and Northern Australia in one unforgettable overland adventure.
