Yardie Creek

National Parks and Reserves

Exploring Yardie Creek is a must-do for anyone visiting Cape Range National Park.

Take a walk on the gentle Yardie Nature Walk on the northern side of the gorge above the vertical red rock walls. Several vantage points give excellent views of the gorge, the creek mouth and Ningaloo Reef.

Get adventurous and discover the Class 4 Yardie Gorge Trail. It’s a two-kilometre walk overlooking the ancient Yardie Creek gorge. With amazing views of red limestone cliff faces and the opportunity to see a wonderful array of birds and wildlife, including the rare black-footed wallaby, euros and red kangaroos. From the top, the views into the creek and out to the Ningaloo Reef are purely spectacular. Explore the gorge by water and join a boat tour.

Enjoy lunch at the picnic tables under the shade of tamarisk trees.
