Pemberton Pool

National Parks and Reserves

Pemberton Pool is located within the Pemberton Forest Park, nestled on the Lefroy Brook next to the Pemberton Mountain Bike Park. Pemberton Forest Park covers 120 hectares and has 22 kilometres of mountain bike tracks and dual use trails.

The historic swimming pool was constructed in the late 1920’s for the families of the timber workers and has been an iconic destination for generations of locals and visitors. It is the perfect destination for a barbecue, a picnic, swimming in summer and appreciating the native flora and fauna.

The Pemberton Forest Park consists essentially of Karri forest with some Marri, whilst the divers understorey is dominated by species such as Acacia urophylla and Trymalium spathulatum.

Birdlife is abundant in the Pemberton Forest Park and aquatic wildlife known to occur includes the Lamprey (Geotria australis) and Marron (Cherax tenuinanus). The Park is a likely habitat of kangaroos, Bush Rats, snakes, frogs and other reptiles.

Pemberton Pool is a 3.5 hour drive south of the Perth central business district.
