Reefwalker Ocean Discovery is a small family-owned-and-operated company that is run by Aydan, and his partner Carene. Reefwalker was first established in 1992 and is the longest-running tourism boat in Kalbarri, having operated in Kalbarri for over 30 years.
Aydan will welcome you into his ocean playground to enjoy the beautiful waters, scenery and ocean life that Kalbarri has to offer. Aydan has a very strong affinity and passion for the ocean and his boats – a keen surfer and fisherman who thrives on taking people out to share with others the nature and beauty this area has to offer.
He can take you out to pull the Rocklobster pots, embark on a scenic Coastal Cliff Cruise or head out with him for an encounter with the majestic Humpback Whale!
Reefwalker has a very long history in providing quality ocean experiences out on the waters of Kalbarri.

Reefwalker Ocean Discovery is the longest-running whale-watching company in Kalbarri and has been operating whale-watching tours since 1992.
Kalbarri is privileged with seasonal visits of the majestic Humpback Whale and the occasional Southern Right Whale. They begin to migrate past Kalbarri in June every year from the food-rich southern ocean to breeding grounds in the warm northern waters.
The whales are seen travelling back south around August en route to the colder seas to grow and mature. Following the continental shelf, they embrace the coast as they travel through the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.
These majestic creatures play, frolic and bask in the pristine waters of Gantheaume Bay on their migratory route along the West Australian coastline. Each whale-watching trip is an opportunity to get close to these gentle giants and witness a unique phenomenon right on Kalbarri’s doorstep.
In the rare event, they are unable to sight whales, you’re most welcome to join the following scheduled tour free of charge.

Carpark Family Friendly Public ToiletKalbarri’s ocean is full of some of the world’s most premium wild-caught seafood. Let Reefwalker take you out to experience catching the world-famous Western Rocklobster.
Learn about the local Rocklobster Industry with a real-life insight into how this renowned crustacean is caught, graded and enjoyed. After boarding the boat at the Kalbarri Marina, venture out through the river mouth and into the ocean where they will pull our 12 lobster pots. They usually come across the local dolphins, sharks and other interesting sea life!
Upon returning to the marina, share the morning catch with those onboard and you will receive a recipe card detailing how to prepare and cook your crayfish.

Embark on a sunset cruise with Reefwalker who will take you up close to fabulous Jacques Point, Red Bluff, Mushroom Rock, Rainbow Valley, Pot Alley and Eagle Gorge while the sun dips into the ocean and the rocks take on the colour of fire.
After departing the Kalbarri Maritime Facility head out through the Murchison River mouth and head south along the impressive coastline where they will stop briefly and show you the renowned sites along the way.
There are endless photo opportunities and you are welcome to bring drinks and nibbles onboard- saluting the day’s end onboard Reefwalker is certainly a must do whilst visiting Kalbarri!
