Stories of the Sunset Coast
Things To Do Herdsman, Stirling, Western Australia
Discover the Stories of the Sunset Coast, a self-guided geotourism experience that invites visitors to explore Perth’s northern corridor through the connections between people, land and nature.
Designed for curious explorers, this experience links a range of locations across the Sunset Coast, including lakes, cultural sites, bushland areas and urban precincts. Each location reveals a different perspective, encouraging visitors to better understand the places they visit and how they are connected.
Stories are presented through three key lenses — People and Connections, Land and Time, and Nature and Life — uncovering Aboriginal culture, local heritage, ancient landscapes and the ecosystems that shape the region. Together, these layers provide a deeper understanding of what makes each place distinctive.
Visitors can explore in a way that suits them, whether following nearby sites, building a full-day itinerary or discovering places closer to home. The experience is supported by a printed guide with an illustrated map, as well as an online interactive map with expanded content and visitor information.
Stories of the Sunset Coast spans the coastline from Scarborough up to Two Rocks, offering a flexible and accessible way to experience the region beyond a typical visit.
