New Norcia Benedictine Monastery is located on the site of the original 1847 mission building. The Monastery is now home to a population of monks who live a simple communal life of prayer and work within the Monastery.
Although not open to the public, you can take a guided walking tour of the town which starts at the town’s Museum and Art Gallery, the tour takes you to some of the stunning town buildings and will let you experience its unique history.
New Norcia is a 90 minute drive northeast of Perth.
