Winner of the 2025 Perth Royal Food Awards Champion Gin, Variations Distillery is a true country gem. Set in a hand-built hay bale haven overlooking the stunning Darling Scarp, it’s the perfect spot to relax, sip, and savour.
Enjoy artisan pizzas, grazing boards and crispy wedges while sampling award-winning spirits — including the Champion and Gold Medal Premium Dry Gin and Silver Medal Rose Gin. The range also features small-batch vodkas, cane spirits, liqueurs, and moonshines, all paired with boutique mixers or served up as creative on-tap cocktails. Prefer a brew? Try a Variations Lager, locally crafted beers, regional wines, or a selection of non-alcoholic delights. Slow things down with a pot of loose-leaf tea or freshly plunged coffee.
Families are warmly welcomed — kids can explore the tractor-inspired playground, meet friendly goats and alpacas, and enjoy wide-open spaces to play.
Every inch of this cozy distillery — from the walls to the chandeliers — was built by hand by the owner–distillers, whose dedication shows in every detail. The name Variations was inspired by Aldous Huxley’s favourite gift from composer Igor Stravinsky — a piece of music titled Variations.
