Margaret River Surfing Academy is the region’s first established surf school — founded by local surf legend Josh Palmateer and family-run by Simon and Asha Tien. We’re Tourism WA endorsed, Quality Tourism Australia accredited, and members of the WA Dream Collective. Led by Simon Tien — a registered paramedic and Master ‘s degree -qualified mental health practitioner with 30+ years on this coast — we offer beginner group lessons from $50, private and 1-on-1 coaching, performance training, school programs, and corporate wellbeing. Our sister business, Margaret River Surf Hire offers full equipment hire (wetsuits, softboards, performance boards) with pickup from Gracetown or our Rivermouth lesson location. MRSA students get 10% off hire.
