Sapphire Coast Guiding Co operates walking tours on the Far South Coast and Snowy Mountains of NSW. Including the iconic 30 kilometre Light to Light Walk in Beowa National Park and the Wharf to Wharf Walk, traversing 27 kilometres from historic Merimbula Wharf to Tathra Wharf through Bournda National Park. They also lead groups on The Snowies Alpine Walk in Kosciuszko National Park.
They conduct guided tours and self-guided tours with accommodation at their camps along the way or in other local accommodation including the heritage-listed lighthouse keepers cottages at the Green Cape Light Station.
The Light to Light walk is spectacular and relatively easy in standard. You only require a moderate level of fitness. Wildlife is plentiful and easy to observe and you may see some special animals such as the elusive Ground Parrot. During spring you will likely see migrating whales, particularly humpbacks and Southern Right Whales.
The trips are fully catered and they take care of your overnight luggage. On the walk, you only need to carry a light day pack with your essentials for the day.

The tour allows you to enjoy one of Australia’s great coastal walks while we take care of transport, accommodation and food. You will camp at Saltwater Creek and enjoy fine local wines and hearty meals based on fresh local produce around the campfire (subject to fire bans).
During the day you will carry just a light daypack with your lunch and essentials for the day

The Wharf to Wharf Walk is a journey through history, crossing the ancient lands of the Yuin people, between two historic wharves on the Sapphire Coast, NSW.
It’s a walk for coast lovers, stretching 27 kilometres along the coast between the iconic Merimbula and Tathra Wharfs. Wander the hidden trails that snake along rugged clifftops through Bournda National Park and discover spectacular headlands, secluded bays, lakes, freshwater lagoons and long, isolated beaches.
If that’s not enough… they have added a day of walking in the magical Mimosa Rocks National Park. This day includes more remote beaches and a crossing of one of the most beautiful lagoons you have ever seen!
The guided Wharf to Wharf Walk offers small group walking, expert local knowledge and delicious local produce. The walk is fully supported so all you have to carry is a day pack.
Accommodation is at the stunning Tanja Lagoon Camp. There is a mix of safari tents and cabins overlooking a coastal lagoon with a communal area to share meals and time by the fire each day.
This walk is challenging in parts, with some rough surfaces and beach walking. A moderate level of fitness is required.
