Things To Do Tathra, Bega Valley, New South Wales
Tathra Wharf, a beacon of history and charm on the Sapphire Coast of NSW, is the sole remaining 19th-century coastal wharf on the eastern seaboard of Australia, offering visitors a fascinating glimpse into the past.
The Tathra Wharf Museum serves as a custodian of the area’s maritime heritage. It houses a rich collection of artifacts, photographs and exhibits that narrate the wharf’s story and the broader history of the Tathra district.
They hope you enjoy your journey through time at the Tathra Wharf, where the echoes of the past meet the present, and history is preserved for all to discover and cherish.
Entry is via the front of the cargo building on the wharf. It is run by dedicated volunteers and provides a showcase for its maritime history.
