Orara River

Natural Attractions

For those who want to explore the hidden hinterland of the northern rivers NSW, in the south of the Clarence Valley the Orara River offers plenty of opportunities.

There are numerous picnic spots along the way, freshwater swimming pools, and gentle rapids to enjoy.

The Orara River – ‘orara’ means perch – is the only western flowing river in the region as it makes its way from the Coffs Harbour region through the quaint village of Glenreagh, Coutts Crossing until it meets the Clarence River near Eatonsville.
