Kayaking Wagonga Inlet at Narooma

Natural Attractions

The crystal clear, sapphire waters of Wagonga Inlet are a pleasure to paddle with views of the town and old forest growth on the shoreline. Paddle to the upper part of the Inlet to visit the historic cemetery and see the extensive oyster farms. Landing is possible next to the pontoon. Launch from the Old Punt boat ramp next to the highway on the south side of Narooma Bridge, or take off near the cafes, restaurants and foreshore park along Riverside Drive, where you can hire a kayak.

There is a barbecue/picnic area and playground available. Once you get out on the water, the possibilities are endless with such a big expanse of water. The inlet is teeming with marine life, sea birds and the occasional fur seal. Open kayaks and canoes should stay close to the water’s edge, as the vast area of water can be choppy on windy days. For more sheltered paddling head to Forsters Bay.
