Governor Phillip Park

Parks and Gardens

Governor Phillip Park is a beautiful and expansive green space in historic Windsor, nestled along the banks of the Hawkesbury River. The park features sheltered picnic areas, toilet facilities, and electric barbecues, making it an ideal spot for a family outing or get-together with friends. A fenced children’s playground adds to its family-friendly appeal, and during the summer months, kids can cool off in the water play area or enjoy the nearby flying fox. With plenty of open space, it’s perfect for outdoor relaxation and recreation. November is especially scenic, with Jacaranda trees in full bloom, adding a splash of vibrant color.

At the far end of the park, a large public boat ramp provides easy access to the river for boats, canoes, and kayaks. The ramp is supported by ample parking for both vehicles and trailers, making it a convenient starting point for a variety of water sports and river adventures.
