A family run farm, Elvesgate is natural, rugged and real, growing dense, delicious truffle as nature intended.
Forage and Feast offers the chance to explore, hunt and dine over three hours in an intimate group of no more than 16.
Start your adventure around the fire, with apple tart and a truffle crème anglaise, tea and coffee. Soil, fungi, mycelium – the magic of nature. Then into the oak trees, following the dogs, forage the rich forest floor, down on your hands and knees, nose to the ground, led by an irresistible aroma. Then experience the thrill of unearthing a black truffle.
For the feast, homemade fresh baguettes with luscious truffle butter, melted brie with aromas of jet black truffle. For contrast, offering homemade chutneys, pickles and a delicious umami loaded vegetarian truffle pate. Followed by a chestnut soup with luxurious truffle cream, and an ultra decadent mac and cheese, or potato gratin, created with slow roasted golden shallots, truffle infused cream or béchamel, mixed cheeses and finished with wafers of pure fresh truffle. Plus a home-grown mix of salad leaves and flowers. To conclude, a dessert of smooth truffle ice cream, with crisp shards of hazelnut meringue.

Gather close by the fire, a slice of flaking pastry in hand; sweet nutty caramelized artichoke, rich truffle laden gruyere clouds.
Brie oozes with dark, decadent slices. Warm bread is slathered with luscious butter, laced with ribbons of truffle. Bites of truffle terrine, chanterelles, kombi crisps.
Fire-roasted cauliflower, is whipped to rich velvet, transformed with truffle-cream and infused yolks.
Organic chicken, lathered in truffle butter from dawn arrives crisp skinned in a pool of deep truffle demi-glace.
And to conclude, luxurious truffle crème anglaise soft serve, with crisp shards of hazelnut meringue.
