Tumut Community Labyrinth for Peace

Landmarks and Buildings

The Tumut Labyrinth honours the community service of local citizens in times of both peace and conflict. Set within Pioneer Park, it offers a peaceful space for contemplation and reflection, welcoming visitors of all ages – whether walking alone or sharing the experience with others.

The pathway is designed with accessibility in mind: it is wide enough for two people to walk side by side, including carers supporting children or those with limited mobility. Wheelchair and motorised scooter access is also accommodated. Along the route, thoughtfully placed way‑stations provide opportunities to pause, rest and reflect.

Interpretive panels at these way‑stations share stories of Indigenous and European settlement, enriching the experience for individuals as well as school groups, community organisations and visitors interested in the region’s history.
